Enterprise Renfrew County

Enterprise Renfrew County has been operating in Renfrew since 1988 and in 2002 opened a satellite office in the City of Pembroke.

Our mandate is to encourage and contribute to the enterprising spirit and economic development of the County by assisting entrepreneurs with the development of new or existing companies.

The Office is a Canada Business Ontario (CBO) regional access site. This joint federal-provincial-municipal initiative provides useful information to new and established entrepreneurs about government programs, services and regulations on starting and sustaining an enterprise in Ontario.

Labour Market Group

The Labour Market Group of Renfrew and Lanark Counties represents one of 26 workforce planning areas in the province of Ontario. Funded by the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development, the group works to provide accurate and timely labour market information to employers, job seekers and organizations that use labour market data for strategic planning purposes. The group provides annual labour market reports that outline trends in the local labour force using statistical data from several sources, as well an intelligence gathered from local employers and employment agencies.

Renfrew County Community Future Development Corporation (RCCFDC)

Community Futures is a community based non-profit organization that is dedicated to creating opportunities for entrepreneurship and the pursuit of economic growth in Renfrew County. The RCCFDC is a provincially incorporated non-profit organization that is governed by a local volunteer Board of Directors. We have been helping small business in the Renfrew County area since 1986.

Business Holiday By-Law

We currently have a business holiday by-law that regulates which businesses can be open and when during holidays. Please refer to [By-law 2020-05-39] for additional information. Alternative formats are available upon request.

Mobile Food Vendor

Businesses are not required to obtain a licence in LV, except for mobile food vendors. Prior to operating a mobile food vehicle, please complete the application form to obtain approval.
